Full-service bookkeeping firm based out of Woodbury, New York – servicing clients nationwide utilizing cloud technologies such as QuickBooks Online and Xero Accounting Software. Our firm’s service offering is providing technology and financial solutions for small and mid-sized businesses to manage their back office and provide outsourced accounting & CFO functions to manage growth.

We provide a full-back office solution, cash flow management tools, and help plan for operational and strategic decisions by interfacing various technologies to improve back office and bookkeeping efficiencies.

Qualifications and Description for Accountant: 3-5 years of accounting experience working with small to mid-sized businesses. Strong computer and technology skills required. Must be able to work in team environment and communicate with business owners.

Managerial abilities to supervise bookkeeping team. Financial Reporting and Accruals, General Ledger Entries, Excel,  Reporting, Inventory Experience a Plus be not required. Excellent communication and problem-solving. Superior time-management skills.

Verifies, allocates, and posts details of business transactions to subsidiary accounts in journals or computer files from documents such as sales slips, invoices, receipts, check stubs, and computer printouts.

Summarizes details in separate ledgers or computer files and transfers data to general ledger. Reconcile and review client accounts. Our Sales team is seeking a highly motivated, competitive, with a strong work ethic and exceptional customer service skills. As a sales associate, your primary responsibility is setting appointments for our prospects.  Our prospects come from warm and cold lists of contacts provided to you, from chat, from our inbound phone calls, and from events. You will research and identify leads in local markets, call contacts and coordinate appointments. You will be interacting with business owners in a variety of industries such as health and wellness, retail, restaurants, e-commerce, and professional services.  There will be networking events and meetup groups you will join on Long Island and New York City.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • Find and research businesses that would are a good fit for our accounting services.
  • Perform outbound calls, answer chats and send emails.
  • Schedule qualified appointments for the Sales team.
  • Achieve or exceed sales metrics and revenue targets for your position.
  • Manage and update a Customer Relationship Management (Salesforce) database
  • Prepare accurate reports on a daily, weekly or monthly basis as defined by management

The Tax Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and reviewing the preparation of federal, state and local income tax returns for businesses and individuals, and will actively oversee tax research and planning. The qualified candidate will have a strong background in C corporations, S corporations and partnerships, and will be adept at handling the complex issues that may arise in these areas. As this position offers significant growth opportunity, we are seeking someone who is interested in becoming an integral part of the firm for many years to come. The Tax Supervisor will use his/her leadership skills, and creative thinking, to support staff, and maintain high standards of excellence on all engagements. He/she will draw upon recent public accounting experience, and excellent technical knowledge, to lead, develop and mentor junior staff, and to promote individual professional growth within the firm. We expect that the Tax Supervisor will develop, and maintain, solid client relationships while overseeing challenging assignments and taking a proactive approach to engagement planning.

Responsibilities

Your role will include identifying and implementing tax planning and consulting opportunities, preparation and review of client tax calculations, management of client tax relationships and supervising and developing staff. Must have the ability to manage client relationships, multiple projects and meet deadlines.

  • Manage, direct and monitor multiple client engagements as well as serve as a business advisor to the client.

  • Identify and assist with implementation of tax planning and tax savings strategies.

  • Research and consult on complex tax matters.

  • Ability to manage and develop staff in a highly interactive team environment.

 

Requirements:

  • Licensed CPA with 5 to 7 years of recent accounting experience

  • Ability to supervise, review, train and mentor junior staff

  • Strong review, research and analytical skills

  • Extremely organized and able to multi-task

  • Ability to meet deadlines and work within time constraints
