Qualifications and Description for Accountant: 3-5 years of accounting experience working with small to mid-sized businesses. Strong computer and technology skills required. Must be able to work in team environment and communicate with business owners.

Managerial abilities to supervise bookkeeping team. Financial Reporting and Accruals, General Ledger Entries, Excel,  Reporting, Inventory Experience a Plus be not required. Excellent communication and problem-solving. Superior time-management skills.

Keeps records of financial transactions for establishment by performing the following duties.

Verifies, allocates, and posts details of business transactions to subsidiary accounts in journals or computer files from documents such as sales slips, invoices, receipts, check stubs, and computer printouts.

Summarizes details in separate ledgers or computer files and transfers data to general ledger. Reconcile and review client accounts. Compiles reports to show statistics such as cash receipts and expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, profit and loss, and other items pertinent to operation of a business.

Senior Tax Supervisor/Manager, CPA

Duties

Your role will include identifying and implementing tax planning and consulting opportunities, preparation, and review of client tax calculations, management of client tax relationships and supervising and developing staff. You must have the ability to manage client relationships, multiple projects and meet deadlines.

  • Manage, direct and monitor multiple client engagements as well as serve as a business advisor to the client.
  • Identify and assist with implementation of tax planning and tax savings strategies.
  • Research and consult on complex tax matters.
  • Ability to manage and develop staff in a highly interactive team environment.

Requirements

  • Licensed CPA with 5 to 7 years of recent accounting experience
  • Ability to supervise, review, train and mentor junior staff

Payroll/HR Specialist – Full Time – Long Island, NY

Summary

The Payroll/HR Specialist accurately prepares and processes payroll for our clients, interactions with payroll platform client services for problem resolution, and clients for any payroll resolution requirements. Also, assists in preparing new hire forms, tax forms, and provides administrative support for the Human Resources department.

Duties

  • Processing timely and accurate client payrolls
  • Federal/State tax account registration
  • Setup and monitor withholdings and employee deductions
  • Manage day-to-day payroll maintenance for things such as employee garnishments, direct deposits, pay rate changes, and employee benefit changes
  • Provide training and support to clients for online payroll entry and reports
  • Analyze client needs and provide appropriate recommendations
  • Perform analysis of completed payrolls and troubleshoot data inconsistencies
  • Maintain confidentiality of all Client and employee information

Skills

  • Knowledge of ADP, Intuit Payroll, Paychex, Gusto preferred
  • Payroll processing experience with an understanding of payroll laws
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities and enjoy working with people
  • Expert at providing superb customer service via phone
  • Expert at building and maintaining client relationships
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
