Qualifications and Description for Accountant: 3-5 years of accounting experience working with small to mid-sized businesses. Strong computer and technology skills required. Must be able to work in team environment and communicate with business owners.
Managerial abilities to supervise bookkeeping team. Financial Reporting and Accruals, General Ledger Entries, Excel, Reporting, Inventory Experience a Plus be not required. Excellent communication and problem-solving. Superior time-management skills.
Keeps records of financial transactions for establishment by performing the following duties.
Verifies, allocates, and posts details of business transactions to subsidiary accounts in journals or computer files from documents such as sales slips, invoices, receipts, check stubs, and computer printouts.
Summarizes details in separate ledgers or computer files and transfers data to general ledger. Reconcile and review client accounts. Compiles reports to show statistics such as cash receipts and expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, profit and loss, and other items pertinent to operation of a business.
